Spice is taking another ride down the parenthood block! On Tuesday (March 14), the dancehall artist announced she’s expecting a child with a peek at her blue-themed maternity shoot.
The singer kept the details light–opting to share just one photo and one sentence about her newest motherhood adventure. Spice is already a mother to two children, a son born in 2007 and a daughter born in 2011.
“God has been so good to me,” Spice wrote.
Per the image, Spice highlighted a shade she’s known for rocking: blue. In addition to her classic bright blue bundles, Spice wore a floor-length blue gown layered with ruffles. She placed one hand on her exposed baby bump while the other held onto a baby carriage filled with blue flowers. She completed the maternity look with closed-toe pumps, dangling earrings, and blue fingernails.

It’s unclear how far along Spice is in her pregnancy, but the bump is bumpin’ in the maternity photo. The last image she shared of her body on Instagram was on January 21 for her daughter’s 12th birthday. Spice and daughter Nicholatoy posed in front of a blue-themed Christmas tree, wearing blue gowns.
Spice’s gown design resembles her maternity shoot dress, minus the length. Still, the Christmas family photo (and those she shared in December) gave no hints of a baby bump. In between the January post and today’s reveal, the singer has only shared promotional content and a separate birthday shoutout.
In 2020, amid the raging Covid-19 pandemic, Spice revealed her desire to expand her family two-kids family. Per Dancehall Mag, Love & Hip-Hop alum Amara La Negra interviewed Spice on May 20 for a series called My Moms The Bomb. During the talk, the singer revealed she wanted more children but was seeking marriage first.
“Of course I do,” Spice responded to a question about having more children. She added, “But when I get married, though. But listen to this part, when I get married, I want me a pair of twins or a triplet or a quadruple, that’s my dream.”
But according to Dancehall Mag, Spice confirmed the end of her relationship with her boyfriend Justin Budd in August 2022. At the time, the singer revealed on Instagram Live that she doesn’t want a man who wants to control her. She reportedly said, “mi nuh want no man hold me down, mi nuh want no man tell me wah fi do.”
Given the break-up, it’s unclear if Justin is her child’s father or whether she’s expecting multiples as she once dreamed about.
Congratulations Spice!
